unqualified

The last few edits of my book, Keep Walking: 40 Days to Hope and Freedom after Betrayal were completed over the weekend and I ordered my first box of books! GULP!

This is getting real. And I am a jumble of emotions. I am proud, scared, hopeful, terrified, excited and nervous all wrapped into one warped state.

One of the things I’ve struggled with is feeling unqualified. I’m not a therapist or a psychologist. I have a bachelor’s degree in biology. I really admire people who go to school and earn those letters after their name, but all I have is my B.S.

Lynn Marie Cherry B.S.

Let’s be real, that is not going to attract anyone to what I have to say.

I ran across this lovely passage in the book of Romans. And just so you know – Romans is addressed to ALL who live in Rome, not only the highly-educated elite.

I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another. Romans 15:14 NIV

I felt so validated! And I hope you hear it too. Your life experience qualifies you to help others. Whether you share your wins or losses, other people can benefit from your lessons learned.

I love what Paul goes on to say in another letter.

It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.
2 Corinthians 3:5
What are you dreaming of?

What do you feel God is asking you to do?

Don’t wait until you feel qualified!

Take a step toward your dream today.
